At Nebula Cafe, we believe that lasting change starts with meaningful conversations. Our Community Discussion Circles offer a space for you and others to explore how small, positive habits can create big transformations in your personal life and community.

This month’s focus: “The Power of Small Habits: Transforming Ourselves and Our Communities”

What Are Community Discussion Circles?

Our circles are small groups (three or more) that gather to discuss topics rooted in psychology and human behavior. This month, we’re exploring “The Power of Small Habits”—how simple daily actions, backed by behavioral psychology, can lead to lasting change. Inspired by the work of experts like Dr. BJ Fogg and authors James Clear and Charles Duhigg, these sessions guide you to better understand habit formation and its impact on well-being.

How to Participate

It’s simple to join. Form a group of three or more, and we’ll provide discussion prompts and psychology-backed tools to guide your conversation. Your group will:

  1. Reflect & Share: Discuss a small habit you’ve started or want to begin that has a positive impact.
  2. Learn & Apply: We’ll introduce habit-building tactics, like habit stacking or positive reinforcement, so you can apply them in your life.
  3. Group Accountability: Create group goals and support each other in building positive habits.
  4. Take Action: Each participant will commit to one small, meaningful habit for the week.

Behavioral Psychology Tools

  • Habit Stacking: Pair a new habit with an existing routine (e.g., “After I brush my teeth, I’ll meditate for 2 minutes”).
  • Positive Reinforcement: Reward yourself for completing the habit to reinforce the behavior.
  • Social Commitment: Sharing your goals with your group increases your chance of success.
