Founder & Chef Diva Turial

Born in a small village in Afghanistan, my passion for food began in my childhood, where the aromas and flavors of my mother’s beautifully crafted meals filled our home. As a prominent chef and community leader, she was known for preparing food with love and care at weddings and village events. Those evenings, rich with the scent of her creations, left a lasting imprint on me and inspired me to open Nebula Cafe.

In addition to my culinary passion, I hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Neuroscience from the University of Toronto and an MBA. My career spans startups, tech, psychology, and business, but my true love lies in serving my community. Nebula Cafe was born from my desire to bring people together over a common theme—improving our lives and the lives of those around us, one small choice at a time.

Outside the cafe, my hobbies include coding, writing short stories, and going for morning runs while listening to everything related to social and behavioral psychology. Currently, I am working on an iOS app that embodies the ethos of Nebula Cafe, providing a digital platform for community discussions. The dream of Nebula Cafe truly took shape while writing my novel, Nebula and the Stars Seeker, a self-published book available on Amazon, which captures my vision for this cafe as a means of creating a lasting legacy in the form of meaningful connections and positive change.
